10 Things I've Learned In Two Days

**Formula stttiiiiinnnks.

**Babies spit up every place you don't have a towel. They know. I'm convinced.

**Changing a diaper on a wiggle worm that crawls away is a feat in and of itself.

**So is putting on jammies with footies. Talk about feeling completely inadequate...

**Intelligent 3 1/2 year olds cannot be trusted. Especially if they have realllly cute dimples.

**Little boys with casts make me melt.

**So do babies that smile and coo.

**If we lose Little Miss Sunshine's binky, we're in deeeeppp doodoo. That thing is priceless.

**3 1/2 year olds that adore their little siblings is one of the sweetest things I've ever seen. Nothing beats pure, genuine love.

**Babies and little kids are HARD WORK and Nantie is THE ORIGINAL Wonder Woman. Oh wait, we've known that all along. Nantie.. thank you and WE LOVE YOU!!!

10 Things I've Learned In Two Days

1) It takes wads and wads of toilet paper to clean poop off an eensie butt.

2) Pinocchio still rocks (and they say, "Jack ass" in it.. missed that as a kid).

3) Girls eat their food, boys make catapults out of a fork and spoon.

4) It takes an hour and a half to bathe, moisturize, blow dry and get twins into bed.

5) No ifs ands or buts about it, I need to wear a bathing suit at bath time.

6) Nothing is cuter than a rendition of ABC's sung by two 4 1/2 year olds and a 46 year old husband.

7) Kids are so beyond strong and resilient it's not even funny.

8) Grape Children's Tylenol tastes way better than Motrin (so says the twins).

9) When Jill cries at night and asks me to keep rubbing her back because it makes her not feel scared, my heart breaks.

10) Sponge Bob is evil. PURE evil.

Things I Learned Today

10) No matter how many expensive toys are spewed across the floor, a 2 year old considers the teal balloon to be, hands down, the most interesting.

9) You can play with said balloon for hours on end.

8) I can work in the yard all day and be exhausted that night. I can cook, chase kids, lay on the floor, coloring and talking for half a day and it's the same level of exhaustion.

7) At breakfast, you can pour maple syrup on anything and it will get eaten.

6) Little heads come ----> <---- close to fitting between the stair rails.

5) Gliding on a wood floor wearing socks is as fun as ice skating.

4) No, a 2 year old can't handle the glass of water by himself (no matter how adamant his 7 year old sister is that he can). It's best to go with your gut instincts.

3) The water drinker's drenched clothes dry much quicker using a hair dryer rather than the clothes dryer.

2) On most first attempts while eating spaghetti by hand, a 2 year old is capable of hitting every clean spot on his face, missing his mouth completely.

1) Children's joyful giggles and belly laughs are gifts from God to make grown ups relax and their hearts smile.
