Scene: Saturday morning, standing in kitchen, rocking my comfy fleece jammies, morning sun streaming in, dogs quiet, coffee divine...
Enter Little Buddy...
LB: Mom, can I ask you a question?
Me: Sure.
LB: Are you growing a baby in your tummy?
Me: Wha?
LB: Are you growing a baby in your tummy? Am I going to have a little brother or sister?
Me: Huh?
LB: Your jammies look big in the front. So, are you?
Me: No.
LB: Are you sure because it's okay.
Me: Yes...
LB exits scene.. hanging head, seemingly bummed.
As does Mom.

Oh man, Melissa! I hate when that happens! I am so sorry! Don’t walk around all day wondering, just go put on something less baggy and strut your Momma Stuff!
Awww haha Melissa! I know the feeling! I was at a friends house for coffee one day and her 4 year old daughter says to me "Are you going to have a baby?". The mother was desperately embarrassed
They are too honest sometimes aren't they? My son has several times recently patted my tummy and said "do you have a baby in there?" It's a good thing he's cute, LOL.
My 17 year old daughter asked my wife to have another baby-LOL she now wants a sister. tired of a 19 year old brother.

yes, last night our neighbor girl came in the house, and when i turned around to hang up her jacket she said, "You have a BIG bum!!" "I said, 'Yes, honey, I do." It woudln't hurt so much if it was the first time she'd done this. :)
