Warning: Be advised that overloading on hot dogs, chips, lemonade, cake and ice cream then bouncing like a maniac has been proven to be hazardous to your health. Side effects include (but are not limited to) googly eyes and puffy lips that whistle.
Jack and Jill have 8,000 toys and what's the most fun? A blanket, of course. I think it looks like the makings of a Snuffleupagus. DH, however, thinks it looks like a green blob consuming children.
We've heard and read about them for years.. unexplained phenomenons. People spend the better parts of their lives searching for answers to things like this..
Not to mention, him..
Crop art..
Hauntings..
They are the things that television specials are made of.
Ya'll can imagine my surprise when we had an incident in our very own home. Is it some type of contact attempting to be made? Is it a sign? A primitive Stonehenge?
So, today's the day.. The Big Vote for certification. Have I mentioned yet how much I despise waiting? Yep, I think I have. To take my mind off of the pending scouring of our lives by complete strangers, I've been surfing through pictures that have always cracked me up. The Internet is such a great tool for learning.. so glad these tips are out there for newbies like us..
So now my lovely friends are digging deep trying to outdo each other with horrid pictures of me. Nice. This little ditty was submitted by my dear coworker, Michelle. Mind you, I was sick as H-E Double Hockey sticks that week and I felt like death warmed over. The red tongue was from the constant popping of cough drops. I was letting her know just what I thought of having my picture taken that day...
Sorry Missy, I think this picture beats Sam's Club..
An ongoing tale of our most excellent (and terrifying) adventure yet.. adoption via foster care. This is a journey Darling Husband and I started with Nantie ("Nanny-Auntie" - a blessing from above) in 2007. Although she moved in 2010, we miss her dearly and so appreciate all she did while here.
We also have a herd of rescued canines, fear the Lord and laugh a lot.
August, 2011: Seven amazing placements and a week after we were told LittleBuddy and SweetPea were available for us to adopt, my husband passed away unexpectedly.
April, 2012: I had the honor of adopting my darling 7 year old son (Little Buddy) and 3 1/2 year old sister (SweetPea). I awoke the following day a 40something, widowed single mommy... and couldn't of been happier.
In 1999, a year after my own mother passed away I found out I, myself, was an adopted county baby. Life has some ironic twists but we all seem to come Full Circle
This is our story.
