An ongoing tale of our most excellent (and terrifying) adventure yet.. adoption via foster care. This is a journey Darling Husband and I started with Nantie ("Nanny-Auntie" - a blessing from above) in 2007. Although she moved in 2010, we miss her dearly and so appreciate all she did while here.
We also have a herd of rescued canines, fear the Lord and laugh a lot.
August, 2011: Seven amazing placements and a week after we were told LittleBuddy and SweetPea were available for us to adopt, my husband passed away unexpectedly.
April, 2012: I had the honor of adopting my darling 7 year old son (Little Buddy) and 3 1/2 year old sister (SweetPea). I awoke the following day a 40something, widowed single mommy... and couldn't of been happier.
In 1999, a year after my own mother passed away I found out I, myself, was an adopted county baby. Life has some ironic twists but we all seem to come

So precious! Then they grow up and somewhere along the way acquire SHS...Selective Hearing Syndrome!!! Lol. Awe...and look at the tiny arm.

I remember when my kids were young, we had two dogs (or should I say "vacuum cleaners") who camped out under the table.
I had a clean(er) floor and they got special treats.
I wonder why they kept gaining weight? :)
