No foolin'..
So, JuneBug and I are at the grocery store today doing some shopping (she is an extraordinary shopper might I add). Trying to keep her engaged I was handing her veggies/fruit and we were bagging them together and chatting away. She then takes a celery bunch, cradles it .. and starts rocking it.
Like a baby.
I, of course, break into my rendition of "Rockabye Celery" while onlookers are doing double takes. I would like to think it's because she is so stinkin' cute (but the reality is it was probably because I'm weird.. and I'm okay with that).
That's how JuneBug and I roll on a Saturday morning, ya'll!

I think they were staring because she is so cute! I mean, really, Rockabye celery? that's not out of the ordinary at all! :)
I agree with Tiff. When I was a kid we made babies from zucchini out of my grandmother's garden. Same diff.
COOL!!!!
Hi Melissa....
Just started following your blog. I have just embarked on the journey of adoption and a friend suggested your blog to me. I am a new blogger too, because it seemed like a great way to chronicle our adventure. I'm really looking forward to your sage advice and experience. Thanks for sharing your story.
Oh how fun!
It sounds like you are having a blast!
I don't think that's weird! In the grocery store with kids, you do what you need to do to get things done.
I think "Rock-a-bye Celery" might just catch on!
What might be "weird" is if you start doing it without JuneBug there. Then people may stop and wonder.
oh my goodness, that is hysterical!! :) my Lil M likes to do 'rock-a-baby' with her animals... and tries to even rock Mommy sometimes!
too cute. :)
