What A Week...

Wew!!! That was one for the record books! This was the first time we had a chance to have a transition week and boy, what a difference it makes.

What is a transition week, anyway?

Each day we spent a little more time with JuneBug and her foster mommy (whom she was very attached to). She got used to seeing us and knew we were "safe". Eventually we were spending full days together, taking her back to their home at night to sleep. All of the issues we thought would come up never transpired and she melded right in.

A pleasant surprise.. talk about being stoked!

Another big question: Why didn't JuneBug stay with her other foster parents? They are actually a receiving home and only keep children for 90 days. They are the family that takes the emergency, middle-of-the-night calls.. angels right here on Earth, let me tell you. We will stay in contact, with play dates in the works.

So, here we are .. our first full day and all is well. JuneBug is a wonderful little girl, a great eater and happily plays with toys. We're going to chill this morning (for a change) eat lunch, nap .. and go shopping!

For now, we're content to play with and watch the world go by. DH's defunct IPod is now her cell phone and she's making calls to all the people in her circle.

Precious photo! It reminded me of Cindy Lu of Woo-ville in the movie, "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas."

Glad things are going well!
