1) It takes wads and wads of toilet paper to clean poop off an eensie butt.
2) Pinocchio still rocks (and they say, "Jack ass" in it.. missed that as a kid).
3) Girls eat their food, boys make catapults out of a fork and spoon.
4) It takes an hour and a half to bathe, moisturize, blow dry and get twins into bed.
5) No ifs ands or buts about it, I need to wear a bathing suit at bath time.
6) Nothing is cuter than a rendition of ABC's sung by two 4 1/2 year olds and a 46 year old husband.
7) Kids are so beyond strong and resilient it's not even funny.
8) Grape Children's Tylenol tastes way better than Motrin (so says the twins).
9) When Jill cries at night and asks me to keep rubbing her back because it makes her not feel scared, my heart breaks.
10) Sponge Bob is evil. PURE evil.

You are in my prayers that all keeps going well! Keep up the AMAZING work!
You are way ahead on your learning curve! You are doing great! I'm in total agreement with #10, Sponge Bob is not allowed in our house.
I said that about Sponge Bob too...so annoying, BUT I lost that battle when Daddy started to babysit...on the upside...Sponge Bob is always positive...freak, but always positive. ;-)
I knew the first and the last, but in between you taught me a few things!
How fun! Happy to hear that today is going better than yesterday! Enjoy your time with Jack & Jill. :)
So awesome to get to peak in on your new life with your bundles of joy!! I look forward to more posts...
F.Y.I.:
As for #1 try the flush able toddler wipes or the cottenel flush able toilet wipe things...they work WONDERS and you use a LOT less...plus their safe for both sewers and septic tanks...
#8: If that's what their telling you then don't ever try the yellow Triametic...
#9: sounds like your not only trusted but have been given an additional nightly routine step...melts my heart to read.
Much love from this homeschooling mom of 3 :)
I have been on pins and needles waiting to hear how life was going with the twins...I'm loving #6. ( just wait until the tea parties begin with Jill, and he wears beads and a hat.. and oh yes, he will..;) ) you'll fall in love all over again! :)( I had to take pictures of mine all decked out in tea attire!funny thing is.. he let me.. it's all in the name of love!)
#9 brought tears to my eyes! and I DETEST Spongebob but if it gives you time to take a shower without your kids fighting, so be it LOL
My heart is jumping with joy as I read your new mama revelations. What a wonderful journey you are on!
#10-Charlie doesn't like SpongeBob but loves Monster Truck Jam on SpeedTV.
#5-try tub toys to reduce splashing or leave the tub area. I sit near the sink.
#1-flushable butt wipes are the way to go. boys have toot marks from birth (it's a male thing)so lots of Shout too.
You are doing a great job!
I always need a bathing suit for bath time too! ;) When you mix a 1 and 3 year old with water at the same time... Never a dry out come!
The commenter above is right... Flushable wipes REALLY work way better then toilet paper. Plus you won't have to use as many! =)
Oh Melissa girl...your sense of humor is the best! And I do believe you have hit the nail on head on all of it, especially about the baths and the ABC's...nothing could sound sweeter to your ears.:)
I seriously laughed out loud to tears reading your list...welcome to motherhood! ;) The commenter above is absolutely correct - the flushable wipes will work wonders for those messes... ;)
